The Perfect Back to School Desk Design
Whether you’re going into your freshman year or finishing up your dissertation this upcoming school year, you’ll need a dedicated desk. We are huge believers in having and using desks whenever you’re working in your house. It’s easy to think that you can do school or work tasks anywhere in your home, but as soon as you have an area that’s specifically for that, it will change the way you work.
We think that desks are equal parts functional and beautiful and because it’s back to school season, we want to show you why we think so. Today, we’ll be going over two different styles of desks you can have in your home, as well as different ways you can style them. Read on to learn more our favorite back to school desk designs!
Streamlined, Minimal Desk Design
When you think about back to school desk designs, what comes to mind? We’d venture that it’s probably not something that is as parred back and minimal as the images above. But that’s the exact reason why we love this design. Desks traditionally have a lot of knick-knacks on top of them, which can be distracting and ultimately hurt your productivity. This design, however, makes it so you always have a place to sit and work whenever the mood strikes. The Gaia Desk is perfect for back to school because it’s clean, simple, and can fit into any room design. Once you add a matching lap and a piece of decor, your productivity station will be complete.
The Modern Writer’s Desk
This piece, the Holland Desk, is sleek and functional, which is a general quality what we look for is desks. It has three drawers that can hold a ton of office and back-to-school supplies, and it has a large top that you can work on. To decorate this desk, we recommend that you keep with the sleek look and limit the number of things that live on it. In the images above, the designer only has essential things on it – a lamp, paper storage, and a couple of office supply organizers. We love how this looks because it doesn’t feel crowded, but rather, looks like it’s ready for you to sit down and get to work. So, whether you’re an experienced writer or just taking the one pesky English-Lit class that you’ve been putting off, this desk will fit all of your writing needs and more.
