An Dyer is known for her modern-glam style. The blogger behind Haute Pink Pretty, An has a truly timeless style that she shares in everything from her wardrobe, her lifestyle and yes, even her home decor! See how she transformed her new apartment from a perfectly gorgeous space to an exceptionally glam setting with a bit of the Joybird touch.
Like many bloggers of her caliber, An started Haute Pink Pretty about seven years ago as a place to just share her favorite things. What started as a hobby quickly escalated into a full-time career as readers, tastemakers, brands, and stylists took note of her ability to bring a perfectly sophisticated look to everything she tackles.
Upon moving into her new apartment, in the trendy high-rises of LA’s Koreatown, An knew she wanted to create a space that was conducive to her lifestyle. It had to serve as both a background for her blog and Instagram photos, a workspace, as well as a place to relax and just feel at home. “My husband and I both work from home so we wanted to create a space we would enjoy being in, especially since we spend so much time here,” An said.
Their apartment on its own is pretty stunning. “We’ve always loved the busy downtown feel and high-rise views,” An explains. “When we first walked into this unit, it was love at first sight. The wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows was just breathtaking!” Her initial styling of the space was clean and functional, but lacking in the kind of chic, easy glamour for which she’s known. She and her husband, Chris, have generally relied on Ikea furniture, which doesn’t wear well. Upon moving into this new home, they knew they needed to take their interior styling up a notch.
“I really wanted to create a bright beautiful space that would lend well to my blog and help with creating content.” – An
An’s new living room is simply stunning, with our Joybird Wells Leather Loveseat adding a timeless touch, and our modern Finley Square Ottoman doubling as a coffee table and centerpiece to the room. Staying true to her style, An’s core color palette is minimal, yet pretty, with clean creams, subtle greys, blush pinks, elegant golds and a few pops of teal. The living room plays with texture as well, utilizing marble-topped side tables, a sheepskin throw, plexiglass, and a refined rug. Coupled with the amazing Downtown LA view, who wouldn’t want to spend time in this space?
Perhaps the biggest design transformation is seen in the bedroom. An’s previous, lackluster bed has been replaced with our classic Hughes Bed. While keeping aligned with her living room colors, An switches her gold accents for silver and keeps extraneous decor to a minimum, thus creating a serene vibe that’s ideal for the bedroom.
The end result is a home that’s gorgeous in photos and in real life. It’s the perfect space for An and her husband to live, work, and play in exquisite style!
