I know what you’re thinking: cleaning is not the first thing that comes to mind when you want to be in a better mood. The last thing I want to do when I’m feeling down is to clean the apartment. But there’s a reason that we feel so good after spring cleaning. Sure, we vacuum all the time. We do the dishes. We wash the tub. But if you deep clean your apartment more often, like really get in there, it’ll give you a great psychological boost for weeks, if not months. Break it up into rooms over time so it’s not an overwhelming experience and also clean every so often, making one room absolutely perfect.
