Marie Kondo’s tidying revolution has taken the world by storm in 2019 and we love seeing the transformations that happen on her hit Netflix show “Tidying Up”. If you somehow haven’t heard of Marie Kondo, she is a tidying expert that specializes in helping people organize and declutter their homes so they can find the joy and serenity that lives in their spaces. “Tidying Up” is filled with, sometimes tearful, moments of people reorganizing their homes and, by extension, their entire lives. The biggest takeaway from the show and Marie Kondo’s method is to find the things in your life that spark joy while simultaneously take away clutter and stress.

Even though Marie Kondo advises that you should only have a max of 30 books at any given time doesn’t mean that you can’t take advantage of a beautiful bookshelf. You can use it to display all of your decor items, knick-knacks, and sentimental items that bring you and your home a sense of joy.
One of the biggest, and most time consuming, steps in the KonMarie method is going through clothing and finding pieces that, unsurprisingly, spark joy for them. Her clients are then tasked to fold and store them in an interesting way in order to see exactly what they have. What better place to store those items than in a gorgeous dresser? We love our Blythe series for its spaciousness and stylish design.
Shelving units are, again, great for storing small items, but they are also perfect for holding boxes that have your items in them. Marie Kondo is a huge lover of boxes because they keep things neat and tidy. We personally love the Rigo shelf from our collection – plenty of room to store all of your treasures while also being chic and stylish.
After a long day, it’s natural to want to hop in bed and enjoy your last moments of the evening before it’s time to go to sleep. Whatever your nighttime mantras are, you’ll need to make sure the things you’ll need for bed are stored properly inside of the draws of your nightstand. It’s natural to pack loads of stuff in there, but if you keep Marie’s methods in mind, you’ll avoid clutter and have a more restful sleep.
So, it might seem like we’re cheating a bit, but Marie never said that we couldn’t store items in furniture. Besides, if everything that is there sparks joy and is truly organized, what’s the harm?
