An inspiring entrepreneur gives us a peek inside her eclectic L.A. apartment — a colorful yet calming one-bedroom that reflects her personal style.
When Bri Seeley found her dream apartment inside a former department store in Downtown Los Angeles, the former fashion designer knew that she had found her home. “It was everything I’d been dreaming about,” begins Seeley, who moved in nearly six months ago with her two cats, Peaches and Oliver. “When I signed my lease, I knew I wanted to start over — I even sold most of my old furniture.”
The Minnesota-bred life coach, author and co-creator of The Amplify Collective, set out to make the most of her urban apartment, an inspiring space that needed to be equal parts haven, office, meeting place, and yoga studio for one. Through her work, she’s dedicated to helping women build the lives they want, and believes that every one of us is capable of living the kind of life that we desire. As soon as she saw this space she saw a blank canvas on which to draw her own desires and way of life.
My home has always been a safe space to me, like my sanctuary.
“I’m kind of a closet hippie,” admits Seeley whose collection of crystals and bundles of dried sage atop a bedroom dresser all but give her away. “A few years ago, I had my entire chart read revealing that I’m a quintuple Taurus, which not only means I’m a little stubborn, but also that home is really important to me.” Indeed, her home is an eclectic approach to modern style, balancing bold color, clean lines and artful finds with a personal point of view.
